By the age of 14, 43% of girls drop out of sports completely* and we believe padel is a great sport to keep girls engaged in sport for life.

Keeping girls engaged in sport through padel

There is significant gender disparity in the sport, with women being underrepresented at all levels of participation and professional involvement. Barriers to entry include a lack of courts nearby, finding partners, setting up games, finding a rating, cost of courts and caring responsibilities to be able to play.

We work with a number of padel venues to accelerate awareness and participation for women and girls. We are supported by a network of professional padel players, coaches, celebrities and influencers to champion women in padel.

As one of the UK’s leading investment management and financial planning groups, we’ve been dedicated to helping people, families, and businesses thrive for nearly 200 years through the power of good advice. Though we can’t give you any good padel advice, we have a strong focus on supporting women in setting them up financially for the future and inspiring their “what’s next” story.

Through our partnership, we’re supporting Empower Padel’s growth and development in enabling more women and girls across the country to take up padel, and are looking forward to being a part of the “what’s next” story for Empower Padel.

“Padel for me is the perfect balance of social and physical. To turn up to a new match, and meet new people from a multitude of back grounds is so rewarding. Coming from an individual sport I love the team element and working as a duo! It’s all about communication, and I love a chat… so I am right in my element.”
